Reference designs simplify automotive infotainment
Making it easier for designers to learn and implement MOST technology in automotive infotainment systems, Microchip has introduced the MOST ToGo Reference Designs. These reference designs enable designers to leverage Microchip’s extensive experience of the vast MOST specifications, allowing them to focus on their application software development.
The MOST150 cPhy MOST ToGo Evaluation Kit (B20001) and the MOST50 ePhy MOST ToGo Evaluation Kit (B20004) include three MOST network-compliant hardware nodes with full schematics, code and function catalogues. Microchip have stated that this is everything needed to train, learn or develop a full MOST system design from concept, to implementation, to testing.
A MOST technology hardware reference design is included with each kit, as is a fully implemented software stack. This helps developers to pass compliance testing the first time. Significantly speeding overall development and testing times, the kits can be used as a complete blueprint for critical circuits, to create quick demonstrations. They include a daughter-card connector to allow additional expansion boards to be added for greater audio, video, wireless or other functions.
Priced at $2,599 (USD), the MOST150 cPhy MOST ToGo Evaluation Kit (B20001) includes everything needed to implement a MOST150 coax network. It is based on the OS81110 cPhy Evaluation Board (B20002) - also available separately for $699 (USD).
The MOST50 ePhy MOST ToGo Evaluation Kit (B20004) is priced at $2,599 (USD) includes everything needed to implement a MOST50 electrical network. It is based on the OS81092 ePhy Evaluation Board (B20003), which is also available separately for $699 (USD).
