Lantronix has released the latest version of its xPrintServer Office. Designed for businesses of all sizes, the print server solution delivers app-free mobile printing for users of mobile devices. The company will demonstrate the xPrintServer at MacIT 2015, which takes place on 14th July 2015 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California.

The xPrintServer is the first and only Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print certified print server solution that supports desktop-level quality printing to thousands of printers and copiers from iPhones, iPads, Chromebooks and Android smartphones and tablets. The plug-and-play architecture of the print server solution allows IT managers to quickly and securely auto-provision multifunction and network printers to support AirPrint and Google Cloud Print by simply connecting the xPrintServer to a network switch or router. The print server solution is available for purchase on Apple's Online Store.

“As the modern workforce depends more and more on their smartphones and tablets, users expect to have as good or better experience compared to their laptops and desktops. Prior to the Lantronix xPrintServer, the ability to print was a major gap in this experience,” said Kurt Busch, President and CEO, Lantronix. “Lantronix pioneered the mobile print server as a simple but elegant solution to cost-effectively deliver secure, mobile printing to the large installed base of office and enterprise printers worldwide. With the launch of our next-gen, xPrintServer Office that supports devices from both the Apple iOS and Android ecosystems, Lantronix continues its leadership in addressing the mobility, management and security challenges faced by IT managers, from small office through Fortune 500 organisations.”

“Companies of all sizes are shifting from BYOD experimentation to full mobile device adoption on a global scale, this requires support for secure mobile printing on a wide range of devices,” added Busch. “Our second generation xPrintServer Office directly addresses these enterprise-grade printing requirements by enabling printing to the millions of network and multifunction printers currently deployed that do not support AirPrint. We are pleased that the innovative xPrintServer is now available at the Apple Online Store, a key channel for people looking for Apple solutions. AirPrint certification and the availability of the xPrintServer in the Apple Online Store are major milestones for this product line, as we continue to expand the worldwide network of brand name partners who have selected xPrintServer as their preferred enterprise mobile printing solution.”
