Power Logic Module connects REDline and ICCS product lines
Würth Elektronik ICS is extending with the Power Logic Module its successful REDline product line for central electrical units. With this new standard module, vehicle manufacturers can integrate logical control functions much more flexible and cheaper into their existing solutions. Especially manufacturers of commercial vehicles, who have to equip their vehicles with lots of special functions, will be able to use the new module to integrate them in a timely fashion, particularly for controlling high-current relays.
The Power Logic Module offers connections for Micro ICCS modules (1 analog + 3 digital inputs) or ICCS Micro CAN (2 analog inputs) and in that way connects the REDline product line with the ICCS product line. It also has two connections for high-current relays. One of the high-current relays is protected by a fuse. The Power Logic Module can process CAN commands directly and evaluate two analog signals, in addition to the CAN information. It is available in a 12V and a 24V ver-sion.
We transferred what worked so well in developing customized solu-tions, namely the combination of electromechanical assemblies (central electrical units and power boards) with electronic controlers (ICCS), to our standard REDline product line. This resulted in a new module, the REDline Power Logic Module, explains Albrecht Faber, managing di-rector.
The new module expands the range of applications of the REDline cen-tral electrical units and is an impressive way to continue the merits of this line in a new product. The entire line consists of standard products, so vehicle manufacturers can get products delivered immediately without having to invest in special development efforts. They can control the vehicle functions via the central electrical units quickly and flexibly and save space in the process.
