Axiomtek Rolls Out PICO830, Intel Atom Processors N2800/N2600 Powered Pico-ITX SBC
Axiomtek released PICO830, its new Pico-ITX SBC based on the low-power Intel Atom dual core processor N2800 1.86 GHz and N2600 1.6 GHz with the Intel NM10 Express chipset. The system memory on PICO830 can support either 2 GB or 4 GB of DDR3, depending on the processor.
It cAxiomtek’s PICO830, measuring only 100 x 72 mm, is our smallest single computing board designed to support the latest low-power Intel Atom dual core processor N2600 or N2800. It is the most cost-effective solution for entry into the development of space-limited and thermally constrained embedded applications.” said Michelle Mi, PM of Product Planning Division at Axiomtek. “Through its built-in I/O pin-header, integrators can easily extend multiple I/O to provide optimized solutions in a more cost-effective way.”
In a small rugged form factor, the incredible PICO830 comes with rich expandability including one Gigabit Ethernet port, two serial ports, one of which can be RS-232/422/485 selectable by BIOS setting, four high-speed USB 2.0, one DispalyPort or VGA port, one 24 bit dual channels LVDS, one SATA-300, one CFast socket and HD audio. Additionally, the PICO830 supports mainstream Windows 7 and Windows Embedded Standard 7 operation system. Moreover, the built-in Watchdog Timer keeps system running smoothly.
The extreme compact Cedar Trail Pico-ITX platform, PICO830, supports fanless operation, hardware monitoring as well as SMBus. It also offers long term support and reliable quality. The board will be available around the end of January 2013.
