Cadia Networks Introduce OEM-Ready ARM A8 Single Board Computer
Cadia Networks introduces yet another embedded ARM-based SBC into their family of products, the MIT-5500. This mini- ITX small form factor board is designed around the power efficient Freescale i.MX53 ARM Cortex A8 core processor. Operating systems like Android or Linux can boot natively out of the onboard 4GB iNAND flash.
The The MIT-5500 is loaded with extensive I/O features in order to meet the demands of many OEMs. Key features include the 12 onboard serial ports, dual Ethernet ports, 40-bit digital GPIO, dual CAN, and a 4 wire touch interface. The Freescale i.MX53 ARM Cortex A8 core processor features full HD 1080p playback as well as 1080p decoding and 720p encoding using hardware acceleration, and has the ability of running dual independent displays through the HDMI, VGA or LVDS interfaces. Another point of flexibility is the power input that allows a range of input voltages between 9 to 24 volts DC.
Features Highlights:
-Freescale Cortex A8 i.MX53 CPU up to 1.2GHz with long life cycle support
-Onboard 1 GB DDR3 Memory, 4 GB iNAND flash
