Huawei Demonstrates IP/MPLS and MPLS-TP Interoperability in EANTC's Tests
Huawei today announced that its routers have successfully completed Internet Protocol/MultiProtocol Label Switching (IP/MPLS) and MPLS Transport Profile (MPLS-TP) multi-vendor interoperability tests, organized by the European Advanced Networking Test Center (EANTC). Huawei is the industry's first provider to offer a single router series that demonstrates interoperability for both IP/MPLS and MPLS-TP.
DuriCarsten Rossenhoevel, managing director of EANTC, speaks highly of Huawei's participation in the interoperability tests, announcing that Huawei has been actively participating in the EANTC multi-vendor interoperability tests for years. This time, we are happy to see that Huawei joined our showcase with three product types including the new CX600-X1/X2. Huawei's products successfully participated in a wide range of interoperability tests with other vendors in both the IP/MPLS and the MPLS-TP domains.
Our successful performance on the interoperability tests demonstrates the state-of-the-art nature of Huawei's routers. As part of Huawei's All-IP convergence strategy, these solutions offer top video quality, and will allow operators to achieve multi-services operation, simplify their operations, administration and maintenance, and lower operating costs, stated Mr. Hu Kewen, President of Carrier IP Product Line, Huawei.
The EANTC interoperability tests were based on the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), International Telecommunications Union (ITU-T), Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and IEEE standards, and focused on mobile backhaul, converged transport, network operations and protection, with scenarios that focused on IP/MPLS and MPLS-TP technologies.
