DFI Releases Qseven™ Module QB700-B Based on New Intel® Atom™ Processor E6xx Series and Intel® Platform Controller Hub EG20T
DFI today launches a new Qseven form factor computer-on-module product, QB700-B, offering low power consumption, integrated memory, improved graphic processing support and I/O interface flexibility. This cutting-edge module pairs the Intel Platform Controller Hub EG20T with a low power processor form the Intel Atom processor E6xx series. This Intel Atom processor series is built on 45-nanometer process technology with integrated memory controller and graphics engine which eliminates the need to have a northbridge or southbridge to deliver these functions. This two-chip solution creates a tightly coupled system architecture providing higher performance than three-chip platform solutions.
In aQB700-B support is provided for 512MB of DDR2 800 MHz SDRAM system memory, and one Gigabit LAN controller. Additional features include Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 600 graphics engine with LVDS and SDVO interfaces providing dual-independent video display capability for graphics intensive and multimedia applications. This ultra low power integrated 3D graphics with high definition hardware video decoder and encoder engine improved up to 50% graphic performance than previous Atom processor.
The QB700-B also provides Intel HD audio interface, two Serial ATA ports with speed up to 3Gb/s, six USB 2.0/1.1 host controller ports, 3 PCI-E x 1 interfaces, SD/SDIO*1 supports SDHC, speed class 6 (capacity up to 32GB).
This embedded module board is ideal for applications requiring a stable revision-controlled platform, such as industrial control automation, digital signage, medical equipment and gaming embedded applications.
