DFI CD951 Series 3.5 SBC Supports the Next Generation Intel Atom Processors
DFI today launches the 3.5 Single Board Computer CD951 Series, offering the next generation Intel Atom processors. These SBC boards pair an Intel NM10 Express chipset with a range of Intel Atom processors, from the power efficient Intel Atom processor. These new dual core processors are built on Intel's 32-nanometer process technology providing low power consumption and yet higher clock frequencies and faster memory access than their predecessors that are built on 45-nanometer technology.
The This mobile embedded module board is ideal for applications requiring a stable revision-controlled platform, such as medical electronics, industrial control, security & surveillance, telecommunications, ATM, and POS.
For applications requiring a low power solution with passive cooling, the CD951-C2600 uses the Intel Atom N2600 processor offering modest performance with 1.6GHz clock speed and has integrated graphics controller clocked at 400MHz. The CD951-C2800 with Intel Atom N2800 processor operates at 1.86GHz clock speed and 400MHz graphics frequency. For maximum performance, the CD951-C2700 uses an Intel Atom D2700 processor equipped with a 2.13GHz clock speed and 640MHz graphics frequency. All three processors include integrated graphics with VGA and LVDS interfaces providing dual-independent display capability.
In addition, this new platform series includes Intel Hyper-Threading Technology that delivers thread-level parallelism and provides a significant increase in performance for multithreaded applications.
