Axiomtek introduced SHB111, our new PICMG 1.3 full-size CPU card designed to support the Intel® Core™ i7, Core™ i5 and Core™ i3 and Celeron® processors in the Socket G package. Incorporating Intel® QM57 Express chipset, the SHB111 powered by the new Intel® Core™ i7, i5, and i3 processors supports 4MB Intel® Smart Cache, Hyper-Threading technology, Turbo Mode, QuickPath, DDR3 800/1066 memory, and PCI Express Gen2 x16 slot. Besides, the PICMG 1.3 specification brings advantages of PCI Express to this PICMG 1.3 single board computer that offers four PCI, four PCIe x1 or one PCIe x4, and one PCIe x16 routed to the backplane. Axiomtek’s SHB111 delivers the new levels of performance and graphics for today's demanding applications such as DSA, DVR, industrial automation, visual inspection instrument, CNC machine, and more.

The features of Intel® Turbo Boost technology² and Intel® Hyper-Threading technology boost computing performance and increase 3D performance. The SHB111 also features an integrated Trusted Platform Module and Intel® Active Management Technology² 6.0 for higher security and easier maintenance. Moreover, the PICMG 1.3 slot CPU card meets all current requirements for the Windows® 7, said Charles Zha, Product Manager of Product Manager of Embedded Board and Technology Business Unit at Axiomtek.

Two DIMM sockets on the SHB111 support up to 8GB DDR3 800/1066 SDRAM. For graphics-intensive and multimedia applications, the PICMG 1.3 single board computer supports numerous display output options including VGA, LVDS, and DisplayPort. To satisfy increasing demands for data transfer speed, the SHB111 provides fourteen USB 2.0 ports and six serial ATA ports integrated RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 function with transfer rates up to 3Gb/s. Other significant I/O features include two COM ports (RS-232), dual Gigabit LAN controllers, HD audio, CompactFlash™ socket and PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports. Besides, the SHB111 provides reliable operation and non-stop capability with watchdog timer, as well as SMART FAN function controlling the fan speed to keep temperature within a specified range.
