New Box PC range from Datasound Laboratories meets industrial needs

Designed for 0°C to 50°C operation, the ACS-2653, is a low power, fanless, ruggedised computing platform packaged in a heavy duty steel chassis with aluminium heat sink flutes and brackets for wall/bulkhead mounting.



An Intel Socket P Core 2 Duo Processor with up to 2.0GHz processing speed and up to 800 MHz FSB is the heart of the system and this is supported by the Intel GM965 ICH8M-E system chipset and up to 4 GB DDR2 memory.



High speed networking requirements will be satisfied by the Dual GbE LAN ports and any peripheral additions are catered for by the six USB 2.0 Ports, two of which are situated on the front of the unit for easy access.



Three DB9 connectors provide RS232 communication paths with an optional 4th port enabling RS232/422/485. VGA is delivered through an industry standard DB15 connector and Mic, Line out and PS2 keyboard and mouse interfaces are provided as standard. A software programmable watchdog timer provides up to 256 levels of system reset.



The ACS-2653 offers two storage options of either 2.5 SATA HDD bay and/or Compact Flash giving the user a choice of either a desktop O/S (i.e. XP Pro), a truly embedded O/S such as XP Embedded (free pre-installation included) or any other specified x86 operating system.



With an input voltage range of between 11-32VDC, installation alongside other electronic apparatus is easily achieved.



The ACS-2654 has all the features of the ACS-2653 but provides a single PCI slot for application specific expansion. The ACS-2655 again offers the same functionality but provides two PCI expansion slots.



Weighing just 4.5KG with overall dimensions of 240mm x 230mm x 80mm (104mm for ACS-2654) these highly adaptable fanless box PC systems meet CE/FCC Class A and provide an ideal platform for numerous fit and forget applications including POS Systems, airport terminal controllers and digital entertainment systems.
