The ARAID 3000 is a RAID data protection device intended for legacy designs tied to an IDE disk controller, but needing the ability to use widely available SATA drives.. The device connects to the computer via a SATA or IDE controller. The ARAID 3000 dynamically builds a RAID 1 disk array supporting data mirroring on two drives. The device mounts in two standard 5-1/4” storage bays and appears to the computer as a single hard drive. The computer notifies you of disk failure and continues to operate without interuption. ARAID hotswap capability allows the failed hard drive to be replaced while the system is in use.
