Aitech Announces FlexiBuild Off-The-Shelf Ruggedised Sub-system Solutions
Aitech, the first and largest independent supplier of rugged computing systems optimised for harsh environments announces the new Off-The-Shelf A190 FlexiBuild. Flexible, Compact Computer System and the A175 I/O Expansion Sub-system.
By tVP Sales EMEA & APAC, Rafi Horesh comments, At Aitech we are working to provide state-of-the art COTS products to our customers. What makes us unique in this market is our ability and willingness to take these products and customise them to meet our customers' program requirements.
The A190 FlexiBuild™ Compact Computer System is a fully integrated out-of-the-box computer, with highly flexible configurations that can accommodate 3U VPX or cPCI cards and includes a solid-state I/O Transition Module. It has a small footprint rugged enclosure, with integrated 150W Power Supply, and is convection air-cooled.
Based on this solid and rugged baseline specification, users may then specify a preferred configuration with a choice of embedded Single Board Computer, preferred PMC/XMC carrier and preferred PMC/XMC sub-system boards. All of the SBC and PMC/XMC I/O pins are routed to front panel connectors for maximum flexibility.
The A175 I/O Expansion Sub-system is a rugged I/O interface unit of single board design that significantly expands an Avionics Computer’s I/O capabilities, by enabling a large variety of I/O interface options (e.g. multiple analogue and digital channels), via MIL-STD-1553B. It also provides on-board A/D and D/A and high precision reference voltages for Built In Test (BIT).
With extremely low (<10W) power consumption from a standard (MIL-STD-704D) 28V input, the advanced A175 is environmentally sealed in a rugged, convection air-cooled, compact and lightweight (<1.2kg), Faraday cage enclosure and is highly reliable.
