A PoE version for critical infrastructure surveillance
With the rising incidents of material theft in critical infrastructures, site surveillance has become increasingly important and cameras have been deployed at energy stations, power plants, and other utility production sites. However, owners of critical infrastructures require an all-in-one solution that can integrate the functionality of a cyber security and surveillance to ease the deployment process.
Lanner has expanded its current LEC-6032 product family with LEC-6032E, the PoE-enabled version for surveillance purpose in critical infrastructures.
LEC-6032E, the new addition of current Lanner LEC-6032 product family, is designed with PoE connectivity, allowing the security gateway to connect with IP cameras. Since LEC-6032E comes with four PoE ports, the gateway can be installed with up to four IP cameras.
The PoE ports of LEC-6032E are compliant with IEEE 802.3af standards for compatibility under magnetic isolation protection. Therefore, besides the ICS cyber security functionality like all the models in the LEC-6032 family, LEC-6032E also enables surveillance for critical infrastructure sites, designed to respond to the increasing incidents of material theft.
In terms of physical characteristics, LEC-6032E is also built in fanless and compact form factor for deployment purpose, just like all the models in the same product family. The gateway device can be mounted by DIN Rail or wall-mounting method. As a surveillance gateway for critical infrastructure, LEC-6032E supports -20ºC to +55ºC operating temperature.
Similar to other models in the LEC-6032 family, LEC-6032E is driven by Intel Atom E3845 1.91 GHz SoC for low power consumption and moderate performance. In case of LAN connection failure, LEC-6032E supports one pair of RJ-45 ports with LAN bypass function.
The gateway supports both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports for peripheral devices. Due to its open architecture, LEC-6032E is compatible with video analytics software application for auto-detection and event notifications.
