1U industrial computer for electric substation automation
Axiomtek have unveiled a new 1U rackmount industrial-grade computer system, the IPC122-833-FL. Certified by IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards for electric power substation automation, the new application-oriented system supports 130~370 VDC and 85~264 VAC wide range power inputs for mission-critical or unconstrained thermal environments including electric power substation, condition monitoring, transportation, factory automation and more.
Operating over a wide temperature range from -10°C to +60°C, the IPC122-833-FL supports fanless operation and dual core Intel Atom processor N2800 as well as isolated CANBus, multiple isolated LAN ports, isolated COM ports and isolated DIO ports. Conforming to IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards, this powerful and reliable industrial system offers protection and protocol for communications networks in substations. Offering a slim mechanism for harsh and space-limited environments, the IPC122-833-FL features standard 19” rack mounting with a height of 1U and a depth of 300 mm.
Roger Shyu, Product Manager of Product & Marketing Division at Axiomtek, comments: “Considering the booming market of power-saving and electric substation automation, Axiomtek developed a superior slim-type 1U rackmount computer with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 certificates. Axiomtek’s brand-new IPC122-833-FL is an application-ready platform for perfect power-saving application deployment."
With a very scalable memory architecture of DDR3-800/1066 MHz SO-DIMM (maximum up to 4 GB capacity), the IPC122-833-FL supports one 2.5” SATA HDD and one onboard CFast socket for onboard storage. Protected by a heavy-duty rugged steel housing, the industrial-grade computer provides LED indicators for power, Gigabit Ethernet, Digital I/O, Serial ports and HDD statuses. Rich I/O features include ten isolated COM ports (two RS-232, eight RS-232/422/485), four Gigabit Ethernet ports, six high-speed USB 2.0 ports, one VGA port and one isolated DIO port (4-IN / 4-OUT).
