Wire-to-board connector provides 2.5mm mated height

Suitable for consumer applications such as notebooks, solid state lighting, portable gaming consoles, tablets, and mobile navigation devices, the low profile 1.2mm pitch wire-to-board connector has been introduced by FCI. With a mated height of only 2.50mm and a selection of 3 to 6 pin counts, the connector will address increasing demands for miniaturised interconnect solutions across different industries.

With lead-in features that assist mating in tight spaces, the compact design of the 1.2mm pitch wire-to-board connector features an enclosed receptacle profile. The plug and receptacle of the compact connector features a frictional mating technique, unlike conventional connectors. This delivers an excellent retention force and supports up to 20 mating cycles. Polarised key slots are also included to prevent misalignments between the plug and receptacle.

Featuring a voltage rating of 50V and a current rating of 0.5A per contact, the 1.2mm connector can withstand voltages as high as 500V AC up to a minute. Operating over a temperature range from -25 to +85°C, the connector is suited for use with cable specifications of AWG28 or AWG30, UL10368.
