TE to exhibit smart connectivity at SPS IPC Drives 2014
At SPS IPC Drives 2014, which will be held from 25th to 27th November in Nuremberg, Germany, TE Connectivity will be exhibiting it’s electromechanical and electronic products for factory automation and machine building applications. These products include the ARISO Contactless Connectivity Platform, the Industrial Mini I/O solution and the Industrial RJ45/Fiber Optic Push Pull Variant 14 connector. The Industrial RJ45 Push Pull Variant 14 connector, the M8/M12 industry standard connector system and the Cat6a connector will also be exhibited.
Offering 360° of flexibility, TE’s ARISO Contactless Connectivity Platform provides reliable connectivity in environments where traditional connectivity reaches its limits due to space restrictions, vibrations, dust and dirt.
Allowing users to utilise space on small PCBs, the Industrial Mini I/O solution is only one-quarter the size of the conventional RJ45 plug. To meet the stringent demands of an industrial and high-vibration environment, the connector is designed with two points of contact, enabling increased productivity through a reliable connection.
Enabling flexible field installation, TE offers a range of industry standard connectors equipped with robust termination technology. The range includes the Industrial RJ45/fibre Optic Push Pull Variant 14 connector with a metal shell and the Industrial RJ45 Push Pull Variant 14 connector with a plastic shell. Providing long-term cost savings, the connectors are designed to be durable for a high degree of reliability over a long lifetime. Suitable for harsh and outdoor environments, the connectors offer high-grade IP shielding and temperature resistance.
Providing design engineers a reliable and complete solution for various applications to decrease downtime in industrial environments, TE offers M8/M12 industry standard connector system for machine industrial automation and control applications. Meeting the requirements of up to 10Gb/s, the system provides users with an interface that supports higher bandwidth needs. An extensive range of board- and field-installable connectors, cable assemblies and I/O boxes are included within the system. Suitable for harsh commercial applications such as outdoor data communications, outdoor telecomms and advanced traffic monitoring, it is designed to IEC-61076-2-101 standard.
Supporting 10Gb/s Gigabit Ethernet, the Cat6a connector provides signal performance for field termination without tools. IDC contacts allow for reliable, tool-less installation.
Thomas Schmidt, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Industrial Business Unit, TE Connectivity, commented: “This is an important event - during which customers can interact with our team. Customer dialogue is valuable – and to effectively facilitate this, our booth is larger than ever before. During this prime industry platform, visitors will be able to see for themselves that TE’s global know-how and leadership in various industries can help industrial customers. Leveraging our overall technical capabilities, customers looking for efficiency, productivity, reliability, decentralisation, faster communication, smaller equipment and long product lifetimes can work with us to stand out in the marketplace.”
