Rutronik expands MOFSET range
Rutronik is broadening its MOSFET range with the introduction of Infineon's CoolMOS 8 series, building on the success of the 600 V CoolMOS 7 MOSFET family, which includes the P7, S7, CFD7, C7, G7, and PFD7 variants.
These new components set a new benchmark in high-voltage super junction MOSFET technology, combining advanced features with competitive pricing. They come equipped with an integrated fast body diode, advanced connection technology, and exceptional commutation robustness. Some models also feature housings with surface cooling, making them straightforward to integrate into existing designs. These MOSFETs are ideal for a wide array of power applications, including telecommunications, electric vehicle (EV) charging, and renewable energy solutions.
The CoolMOS 8 series stands out with its remarkably low on-state resistance (RDS(ON)), offering up to a 0.1% efficiency improvement over the C7 version and a 0.17% increase compared to the P7. This optimised RDS(ON) also supports higher power density, allowing the reduction of silicon-based super junction (SJ) technology products to a minimal value of 7 mΩ. These MOSFETs represent a significant advancement at the system level, with thermal resistance (Rth) reduced by 14% to 42%, lower ringing tendency, and easier operation and integration.
Key advantages include:
- Exceptional RDS(ON) * A performance
