Omron adds European cabling capability

Omron announced that it has introduced a Europe-based cable harnessing capability covering its range of top quality relay, switch and connector products. With the introduction of local assembly for harnesses in Europe, Omron can offer fast turnaround on samples, and produce volume quantities competitively to the relevant European standards. The Omron harnesses are manufactured in Europe at an ISO9000 and TS16949 accredited facility, and meet the relevant European standards for wire harnessing and connectors.

Omron is committed to providing its European customers with competitively priced switch and relay solutions delivered in the form that best suits their requirements.”

The new cable harnessing service for relays and switches complements Omron’s European Switch Engineering Centre, which offers a full customisation service on Omron detection switches. Staffed by a specialist engineering resource from Omron’s Japanese switch factories as well as the European market, the Centre now has the capability to manufacture prototypes of custom products designed for European customers, as well as design products from scratch. This is in addition to offering modifications ranging from the development of an alternative lever, to redesign of the case, terminals or wiring harness where the customer and the volume permit.
