New VEAM CIR-M12 DATABUS circular bayonet connector from ITT Interconnect Solutions enables reliable data transmission between rail coaches
ITT Interconnect Solutions new VEAM CIR-M12 Databus connector has been designed to meet the challenge of enabling a variety of different data types to be transmitted between coaches in modern mass transit systems. In particular, customers in this sector requested a solution which bundled multiple Ethernet and MVB lines into a singular connector.
ITT The new CIR-M12 Databus connector contacts are rated at 3A (maximum current for 1ms is 10A); operating voltage is 100Vdc and insulation resistance is 10GΩ. Mechanically, the insert is formed from thermoplastic material according to NFF16-101 – NFF16-102 and conforming to UNI-CEI 11170 (I2F2) and UL94-V0. The coupling gasket is made from silicone rubber, and other parts produced in flame retardant rubber. The metallic parts are aluminium alloy with black epoxy-urethanic varnish, RoHS compliant. The connectors withstand operating temperatures of -40 to +125degC
