New signal data connectors from Aerco

The HMD series is ideal for applications such as communications, displays, in-flight entertainment, monitoring and control systems of both military and civil aircraft, UAVs and all types of aerospace vehicles. They will also find use in transport, marine, industrial, test and measurement equipment, missiles, auto-sport and other industries where weight and space savings are critical.

Available for both cable-to-cable and PCB-to-cable connections, these robust connectors are fully sealed with a plastic insulator while a potted backshell protects the cable terminations and a shrouded insulator prevents the pins from being accidentally damaged. The PCB terminations are also sealed thus eliminating the need for masking if a conformal coating is required.

Based on the company’s proven Hyperboloid contact technology, these connectors are available in 5, 9, 15, 21, 25, 31, 37 and 51 way options with 0.60mm diameter contacts and are resistant to shock and vibration and eliminate fretting providing reduced wear rates that helps in reducing system failure and down-time. HMD PCB connectors have been designed as form-fit replacements for standard micro-D connectors.
