The Nemesis Space Saver connector from ITT Interconnect Solutions is a lightweight, low - almost “no” - profile interconnect designed specifically for wearable and portable military equipment used in modern theatres of war. Front-line military personnel often carry in excess of 45 kg. of wearable equipment on long and arduous missions, so reducing this weight burden is now a top priority of defence departments around the world. The first interconnect of its type, ITT ICS designed the Nemesis Space Saver connector as a compact, lightweight solution, which not only saves weight but also effectively helps shrink the overall size of equipment.

Extremely rugged and with a high degree of sealing, Nemesis Space Saver is designed to withstand harsh conditions in the field and features an anti-reflective ROHS-compliant salt-spray resistant plating providing soldier concealability and is guaranteed for 500 hours. Canted spring technology provides a unique snap-on/ripaway coupling to prevent front-line personnel from being endangered should a cable snag. Other human factor design considerations include the use of ribbed overmolding for secure grip under difficult conditions.

Nemesis Space Saver has superior EMI performance to ensure the integrity of high frequency signals, as well as pogo pin contact technology for enhanced contact durability. Its canted spring technology provides full 360 degree EMI protection. Applications include portable computers, weapons, vision systems, headsets, radios, GPS equipment and headsets.
