Mini connectors and troubleshooting test at Paris Air Show
Nicomatic will use the International Paris Air Show to showcase a number of new developments in its ranges of miniature connectors and trouble-shooting test tools. Launching at the show will be Optimus, Nicomatic’s EN4165-compliant, modular, rectangular I/O connector. This high density interconnect solution is user-configurable and devices can be stacked saving board space. High power and signal contacts can be included.
New AMM series 1.00mm pitch connectors for civil aviation and harsh industrial applications are available for demanding space-constrained applications.
Five standard layouts with 6, 10, 20, 34, 50 contacts distributed over two rows are stocked in depth for immediate shipment, but, as with other Nicomatic connector series, AMM devices can be supplied in any configuration from 4-50 signal contacts. Connectors can also be pre-cabled for easy integration.
Also on display that Le Bourget will be Nicomatic’s rugged, 1.27mm pitch micro connector EMM series targets aerospace, defence and other high reliability applications. Designed to meet the performance requirements of MIL 83513, EMM series connectors occupy 40% less space than previous-generation connectors from the company, are 20% smaller than Micro D connectors for 16-pin configurations and are around 10% smaller in footprint that the closest industry competitor.
DLMM series connectors deliver lightweight Micro-D MIL 83513 performance for weight-restricted applications. Devices feature a metalised EMI-protection composite shell which reduces connector weight by 50% when compared to all-metal Micro-Ds.
Nicomatic’s & Eca group Electrical Ground Support Equipment (E-GSE) TC50-eTool is a new multi-function tool that comes in a compact, portable case designed to simplify electrical troubleshooting. It enables: voltage/current/resistance measurement; phase order checking; diode testing; insulation testing; and thermal imaging.
Additionally, the tool uses Nicomatic’s SmartCo solution based on reflectometry technology to provide precise wire-fault localisation, enabling quick diagnosis and thereby minimising aircraft ground time.
