LAPP Announces Fibre Optic Cables for Office and Industrial Applications

All cables in the new FOC family provide the many benefits of optical data transmission – speed, security etc – but at a cost that will interest systems integrators keen to provide customers with a fast, economical networking solution.

Typical of the new family is a distribution cable for indoor applications, which may be specified with 2 to 24 single-mode or multi-mode fibres in a tight or semi-tight low smoke buffer with a low smoke halogen free sheath. For outdoor applications, Lapp’s product family includes a multi loose tube cable comprising 6, 8, 12 or 18 loose tubes with up to 12 colour coded single-mode, or multi-mode fibres in each, built around a reinforced plastic central member. The common outer sheath is of polyethylene or low smoke halogen free.
