• Connectors from Weald and Souriau to be featured
BrinLane Electronics will present several military connector product ranges designed specifically for use in extreme environments and applications. These include Souriau’s D38999 Series III DC power connectors, the recently announced micro38999 circular connector series and the LMH and LMV power connector series from Weald Electronics.
Souriau’s D38999 Series III DC power connectors are housed in the circular MIL-DTL-38999 platform and have been designed to be resistant to fluid and severe vibration. With current ratings, based on the D38999 specification to 850A, these connectors can be supplied in various body materials with a wide range of contact arrangements and finished with a choice of Zinc Cobalt, Zinc Nickel or Nickel plating.
Designed to satisfy the increasing demand for more compact, lighter connection solutions for military, aerospace and industrial applications, Souriau’s new micro38999 connectors are available in three different fastening systems – screw fastening, bayonet coupling and push-pull. They offer the best possible performance from the most compact models currently available. The micro38999 units allow size and weight savings of as much as 50% when compared with regular MIL-DTL38999 Series III connectors.
The connectors have removable crimp contacts which allow them to be wired or unwired on-site and up to 26 contacts can be accommodated in a choice of 5 layouts. Lane Electronics has available product in the classic galvanic coatings although the connectors can be supplied with non-reflective black zinc nickel protection to satisfy the latest RoHS directives.
The Weald Electronics LMV range is approved to IEQC-CECC spec BS/CECC 75201-004 which includes the safety requirements of BS EN 60950 for safe use in mains applications.
Featuring a brass shell, the LMV range can be supplied in various finishes and shell styles and the two available shell sizes are suitable for direct connection in mains applications. The shells are earthed and the connectors feature finger proof and leading earth contacts.
Maximum current capability is from 7.5 to 32A depending on size and available accessories suit multicore cable and multicore cable with inner collective screen.
Weald’s LMH Series has been designed to perform to the requirements of MIL-C-26482 Series 1 and Patt 105. The connectors are also approved to IECQ-CECC spec BS/CECC 75201-003 and BS 9522 F0017.
Available in nine shell sizes and 33 shell styles, LMH Series connectors can be supplied from stock with 2 to 61 contacts in 20 contact arrangements. They can also be specified in a RoHS compliant olive drab finish. Maximum current rating is 45A and peak working voltages can be as high as 1500V – DC or AC.
Lane Electronics is Weald’s exclusive distributor and is holding a significant stock of popular LMH models for immediate delivery as well as a huge inventory of shell styles, contacts and accessories for assembly to order on very short lead times. Lane can also incorporate a wide selection of accessories including J sealing glands and protective caps.
