ITT Interconnect Solutions revamps website

The most significant enhancement is the addition of an all-new information configuration system that works alongside both a web-based pricing configuration and Special Price Agreement (SPA) quotation system. The information configuration system provides users with a wide range of information based on smart software programming that customizes search results based on geographic location and other criteria. External visitors to the website and ITT Interconnect Solutions Channel Partners are able to conveniently identify product information (specifications, pricing, lead-times, stock availability, manufacturing plant, etc.), as well as information on RoHS and export compliance.

The project supports three key overall company objectives, namely responding to the voice of the customer, improving the ease of doing business with ITT Interconnect Solutions, and lean optimization to provide more flexibility and responsiveness. The new website delivers instant answers with extensive information directly accessible by the user. External capability has been deployed to provide specifications, drawings, RoHS status, and export compliance at the part number level.

A unified global system provides a standardized approach across all products, sites, geographies and sales channels. Consequently, the website has eliminated the possibility of offering different information about the same product.

Easy searches are enabled through the use of search engines designed to function with the same logic that people are used to on Google and Yahoo, making it much easier for users to find exactly what they want. A singular field, and complex configuration logic, understands if a submitted query is an ITT Interconnect Solutions marketing part number, manufacturing part number, Mil/Spec part number, or competitor part number.

Further, the system is scaleable, meaning that it can be easily expanded to incorporate new features and content. Complex configuration logic now actively configures roughly 90 percent of ITT Interconnect Solutions’ quoted product portfolio. Competitor part numbers can also be actively configured, growing the cross referencing list from thousands to hundreds of thousands of part numbers.
