High-density connectors from Honda feature 0.8mm contact centres
A new family of high-density I/O connectors based upon 0.8mm contact spacing, has been introduced by Honda Connectors. The HDR Series connector offers 14, 26, 50 contact positions; and, in the case of HDRA versions, 68 and 100 contact positions with the option of single- or dual-stack configurations. They are offered with through-hole and vertical or right-angle SMT terminations and back shells, and can accommodate screw- or latch-locking. Solder or IDC terminations compatible with 28 to 34AWG are available.
ElecAn important feature of the Series is the level of ESD shielding embodied in its back shells. By maintaining grounding during contact mating or breaking, this prevents electrostatic damage to the host equipment. The back shells themselves are available in vertical or right angle, metal or plastic versions, with screw- or latch-locking.
The combined electrical and physical characteristics of this innovative family of connectors, makes it ideally suited to a variety of general and specialised applications typified by machine tool equipment, hand held /portable computers, data loggers, industrial printers, lasers and medical equipment
