Direct-attach cables suitable for data centres
More than 50 new SFP+ / QSFP+ direct-attach and active optical cables have been announced by StarTech.com. The new product portfolio contains MSA compliant products that are compatible with Cisco, HP and Juniper networking equipment. In addition, QSFP+ to 4 x SFP+ break-out cables of different lengths are also now available.
The direct-attach cable (DAC) portfolio enables IT professionals to maintain performance and reliability in server rooms and data centres, by offering an extensive range of lengths for connections within or between server racks. The new portfolio includes QSFP+ / SFP+ cables which are fully compatible with major OEM brands.
The new cable offering caters to the needs of small to medium-sized businesses, financial institutions and organisations that maintain their own server rooms and data centres. Users will also find the cost savings of the direct-attach cables beneficial, when deploying and managing their data centre solutions.
“StarTech.com continues to offer IT professionals a better alternative to high-priced OEM networking solutions, with equivalent performance and reliable products for server rooms and data centres. With our broad selection of transceivers and direct-attach cables, IT professionals can trust StarTech.com as the sole partner in deploying their data centre architectures,” said Sead Ferhatovic, Product Manager, StarTech.com.
