Standardized D-Sub connectors are available in two-row versions with 9 to 50 pins as well as in high density (HD) versions as a HD D-Sub connector with 3 to 5 rows and 15 to 105 pins. Of course, nearly every supplier has the standard connectors in their range of offerings. But what if you need a 9-pin D-Sub socket at relatively short notice for an application that faces extremely tight space constraints? That’s when SUYIN comes into the picture, because fast, flexible and affordable adaptation of standard products to meet customer-specific wishes and specifications, including high-quality production, is one of SUYIN’s particular strengths.

A typical example of this can be seen in the modification of a 9-pin standard D-Sub socket into the 070023MR miniaturized version.” Unlike the standardized version with a “D”-width of 16.33 mm, this customized female connector is just 11.4 mm wide, which means that the contacts for each row are – extremely space-saving – closer together than is the case with a standard D-Sub configuration also preventing both unintentional and intentional docking of standard D-Sub connectors. However, this increased contact density is not the only new feature. The design of the metal housing for the right-angle THT receptacle also follows customer-specific specifications and was technically adapted to the end device. Furthermore, a special pick & place cap – in combination with specially adapted reel packaging – ensures trouble-free assembly in the customer’s production process. SUYIN is also able to realize more stringent environmental specifications (for green products) in accordance with special customer requests. In this case, a halogen-free version is available as an option.
