Aaren Technology adds microwave connectors and adaptors to its product portfolio.

The 1.85mm connectors, together with in-series adaptors, operate up to 65GHz, for the first time allowing engineers to implement a coaxial system where a waveguide solution was typically the common option previously.

VSWR performance is specified as 1.25:1 max up to 65GHz. However, typical performance is generally far better, as test results carried out at Aaren’s UK offices on samples received from the far-east factory confirmed recently. Typical results were in the region of 1.15:1 for both adaptors and single ended connectors.

Bulkhead connectors are available in both male and female forms. Pin diameter options include 0.009”, 0.012” and 0.020”, available in both 2 hole and 4 hole flange configurations.

The in-series adaptors are available in male-to-male, female-to-female and male to female styles. Similar configurations are also available as inter-series adaptors with 2.92mm and 2.4mm connectors.

Both connectors and adaptors are ROHS compliant, and product samples are available ex-stock .
Products are priced according to the Aaren Technology strategy of offering customers good quality products at competitive prices. Connectors cost from £35, with adaptors costing from £75 depending on specification and quantity ordered.
