Modern industrial applications demand compact and durable connectors capable of reliably transmitting high currents and voltages. Binder now offers an ideal solution: specialised flange components designed to partner with the PBC15 cable connector.

This combination provides customised solutions for a variety of uses, including drive technology.

The PBC15 connector system is particularly suited for environments where high currents and voltages must be transmitted within confined spaces. "The system is particularly suitable for applications where power and signals need to be transmitted via a cable. With the option for shielding, the connector is also optimal for applications with high demands on signal integrity or where electromagnetic transmission is required," said Philipp Zuber, Product Manager at binder.

In industrial settings, the connector proves its worth by powering three-phase and asynchronous motors, as well as frequency inverters. Its versatile properties make it suitable for a range of sectors, including drive technology, automation, intralogistics, and mechanical engineering, such as in fans, pumps, and packaging machines.

The new flange components ensure secure power and signal transmission, enhancing the already robust performance of the PBC15 system.

These flange components are available as both flange plugs and flange sockets, each featuring a locking mechanism. They come in unshielded plastic versions or shielded variants with metal components. Offering standard wire cross-sections of 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm² with wire lengths of 250 mm, they enable current transmission up to 16 A at 630 V. The PBC15 flange components also feature an M20x1.5 mounting thread, allowing for easy installation into customer-specific housings or motor enclosures using a locknut. A secure connection can be achieved with just a quarter-turn locking mechanism.

Conforming to DIN EN IEC 61076-2-116, these standardised flange components are cross-manufacturer compatible, providing users with maximum flexibility.
