Amphenol RF adds SMA cable assembly to portfolio

The white coloured RG-188 coaxial cable from Amphenol RF offers a balance of flexibility and performance, making them suitable for high-frequency signal transmission in space-constrained areas.

RG-188 cable resists temperatures of up to 205°C, is pliable and has increased shielding effectiveness compared to other cable types. Straight-to-straight, right-angle to right-angle, and right-angle to straight plug configurations are available, ensuring compatibility for any design requirement. They are available to order in lengths of 6, 12, 18, 24 and 36 inches, and 1 or 2 metres. The SMA to SMA RG-188 cable assembly is well suited for applications such as wireless communication systems, aerospace and defence, industrial automation and autonomous mining.

Both the straight and right angle SMA plug connectors feature gold-plated machined brass components allowing for superior conductivity and corrosion resistance in harsh environments. The contact pins of the SMA plugs are made from gold-plated machined brass which ensures constant and reliable conductivity. The RG-188 coaxial cable of these assemblies features a PTFE dielectric, and a protective silver-plated copper shield.
