Advanced monitoring connector meets rising non-industrial demand
In response to an increased market demand for embedded vision, an increased use in robotics and a rising demand for non-industrial applications, ODU has announced its advanced monitoring connector solutions for HD applications to the European, US and Japanese markets.
The advanced connector solutions include among a large variety of connectors, ODU AMC High-Density and ODU MINI-SNAP. These connectors are designed for various applications and meet some of the key market requirements for vision systems: robust design, low weight, watertight protection, high speed data transmission, easy to use, small and compact.
ODU AMC High-Density is a miniature connector designed for harsh environment applications. It is used extensively in applications that require significant weight and space reduction. The compact and lightweight connector solution offers high performance, reliable multi-signal data transmission and easy handling.
In shell diameters from 10 to 18.5mm and providing as many as 40 contacts, the ODU AMC High-Density includes numerous high density signal configurations and tailored versions for power (up to 15A) and data transfer (USB 3.0 with 5A power, HDMI) in a very compact package. The shells are keyed and colour-coded to ensure reliable and simple handling. Other product features include watertight protection class IP 68, 5,000 mating cycles durability, Break-Away function for maximum safety, rugged and non-reflective surfaces, salt spray resistance, high-speed data transfer capability and an operating temperature range of -51 to +125°C (-60 to +257°F).
ODU MINI-SNAP is a miniature circular connector with Push-Pull locking in a metal housing. The advanced connector benefits of 5,000 mating cycles durability, safe and secure locking mecanism, 90° elbow plug, field termination, various housing and contact inserts options, protection class IP 50 and IP 68.
Whether designed for harsh or non-harsh environments, ODU AMC High-Density and ODU MINI-SNAP are ideal connector solutions for the factory automation in the automotive industry, consumer goods, general manufacturing, packaging, robotics, web inspection and also for non-industrial vision systems such as: biomedical, defence & aerospace, medical diagnostics, industrial research, surveillance and transportation.
