TTI Europe is offering a range of next-generation, surface-mount, D-subminiature connectors from Tyco Electronics, based on a new and advanced design.

Expanding on its 2go range, connector manufacturer GTK has released a low cost IC socketing system in the form of the Turned Pin IC socket. The parts, which are RoHS-compliant, are more reliable than conventional stamped and formed pin sockets due to a more robust contact construction. This is said to enable a safe and cost-effective system for socketing expensive ICs or holding the firmware during the debugging phase of a new design.

Now available from Aerco is a new single pole, high current engine connector that has been designed to overcome the problem of thermal damage to the insulator that is experienced on many contemporary products of this type.

The extensive range of metal D-sub connector hoods from German manufacturer FCT and available exclusively in the UK from Quadrant, has been extended to include two new versions that have been introduced to meet the demand for hoods capable of housing mixed layout connectors with either right angle cable entry or the ability to clamp two cables.

ITT Electronic Components’ new Cm3 connector for small and medium servomotors has simplified internal wiring and replaces two bulkier conventional circular connectors, reducing mating to servomotors to four steps.
