Harwin has announced ex-stock availability of a range of competitively-priced Firewire (IEEE 1394) connectors capable of transferring data between devices at 100, 200, or 400Mbit/s. Two styles are available: a six pin version that provides power handling; and a reduced-size four pin device.

High-reliability interconnect company Harwin has announced that its new range of Universal Serial Bus (USB) connectors are immediately available off the shelf in a wide variety of formats to suit differing customer requirements. Applications include laptops/PCs, digital cameras, set top boxes, PDAs, camcorders, industrial equipment, office automation and medical devices.

A new self-adhering gasket has been added to the HARTING Han range of industrial connectors. The new gasket allows the seal to be attached directly to the housing, which makes installation easier. In addition, the screws are securely held onto the housing and seal, minimising the chance of them being lost.

Now available in the UK from Aerco is the Hypertac HMD range of high density, lightweight, signal data connectors specifically designed for applications where weight and space are at a premium. Suitable for PCB and cable-mounted applications up to 4A, the HMD range provides high levels of protection against moisture and salt fog.

These MIL-C 26482, 26 and 41 pin connectors are historically the connector of choice for the outside broadcast industry in the UK and are used in conjunction with 8 and 12 way 'STAR-QUAD' cables in audio multicore systems.

In2Connect UK Ltd has introduced a range of MALE edgecard connectors designed to simulate 0.062¨ (1.58 mm) thick daughtercards. The connectors feature phosphor bronze, gold-plated contact fingers that can eliminate the need for gold plated fingers on the daughtercard.

Lapp Group UK announces new versions of its SKINTOP MS-SC-M brush cable gland with its unique brush connecting system for larger diameter cables. The new cable gland has been specially designed for use with copper braid screen cables with external diameters of between 9-68mm, and is now available in metric threads from 25mm up to 75mm.
