Website enables easier customisation of enclosures
Metal electronic enclosures specialist METCASE has launched a new responsive website. It enables users to request samples and specify customisation more easily. The new website makes it easier for desktop, mobile and tablet users to view and specify standard and customised 19” rack cases, desktop/portable instrument enclosures and wall mounted housings.
New functionality enables users to request a sample, simply by ticking a checkbox at the quotation stage. Users can also specify customisation quickly and easily by clicking to add each modification as if it were a product.
It’s a simple step-by-step process. First users choose the model and size of the enclosure they need. Then they: visit the modifications page; select the required service and click to add the relevant service code to their specification list (such as fitting inserts, e.g. PCB pillars, selecting a standard cutout e.g. round hole, or a custom colour from the colour chart). This enables METCASE to meet customers’ needs much faster.
METCASE has also added more photos of its CNC punching and folding, custom fixings and inserts, painting and finishing, so customers can see the processes in more detail. Each of these pages features service codes so customers can click to specify their chosen metals, cutouts, studs, standoffs, nuts, cable tie mounts, paint colour or finish (matt anodised, Interlox 338, pre-treatment, zinc/clear passivate).
METCASE offers a wide range of enclosure accessories including: 19” front panels and handles; enclosure feet and tilt legs; PCB mounting rails, guides and pillars. Customisation services include bespoke sizes, custom front panels, CNC machining, fixings and inserts, painting and finishing, and digital printing of legends and logos.
