Verotec, the successor company to Vero Electronics and APW, has moved to a new facility with more than twice the space of its existing unit. Located on the same Chandlers Ford industrial estate as the previous one, the new factory gives the company increased space for standard product stockholding, additional R & D, production and assembly space and improved customer meeting facilities.
The unit is environmentally friendly, with roof-mounted solar panels that generate sufficient power to make the unit almost independent of the mains electricity grid.

The company’s sustained growth is the result of several main drivers: new product developments, a focus on working closely with key customers on system development, reinvigoration of the distribution channel, product portfolio expansion and increased exports. Sales in the USA have made a significant contribution to the growth in exports: since it was founded in 2008, Verotec Inc. has doubled sales and has recently secured two large integrated systems orders from major defence contractors.

New products introduced include KM6 HD, a ruggedised subrack for military and railway applications, cPCI and VME development systems, enhanced intelligent fan trays and EMC rack cases. The distribution network has been streamlined with the removal of poorly performing outlets and increased listings in the international catalogue distributors. Verotec is now the primary channel in the UK and US for the VeroPower pluggable PSUs, now manufactured by EPLAX in Germany.

Commercial Director Tim Armstrong said, “We are very pleased with the progress we have made since our formation in 2007. We have increased our headcount by more than 20% and the future is looking very positive with a strong order book and some very exciting new products due to debut in the near future.”
