New air conditioners offer energy-efficient cooling for industrial control systems
The new V-series air conditioners from Schroff have been designed to provide energy-efficient cooling for industrial and process control systems housed within sealed cabinets. Manufactured by McLean Cooling Technology, one of Schroff's sister companies within the Pentair Technical Products Group, the air conditioners feature a tough all-metal casing with IP56 protection against the ingress of dust and water, enabling them to withstand the rigours of the factory floor.
ThesDesigned for mounting on the outside of a cabinet door or side panel, the V-series units are available in five different cooling capacities offering power dissipations of 300W, 600W, 1200W, 1500W and 2000W.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the provision of a full-size cut-out template and built-in hooks that allow the units to be hung on to a cabinet before fastening.
The use of T3 class rotary compressors enables the air conditioners to deliver high energy efficiency and effective cooling of control systems in ambient temperatures as high as 55degC.
Featuring specially coated dust-resistant coils, the V-series units are suitable for filterless operation in many areas and can also be specified with an optional aluminium mesh filter, which is both washable and reusable.
These competitively priced air conditioners are finished with a RAL 7035 light-grey semi-textured paint as standard, while other colours are available on request.
Functional testing of every unit prior to shipping ensures high reliability in the field, and for complete peace of mind, the V-series is backed by a worldwide network of over 1000 service partners.
