Schroff has expanded its system integration facilities to provide a comprehensive service aimed at customers who are looking to reduce overheads and product development times by outsourcing some or all of their design and manufacturing activities.
Using any of Schroff's wide range of cabinets, subracks and cases or a custom enclosure solution, the system integration service is available in various levels to suit differing customer requirements.

For example, Level 0 integration covers the supply of enclosure piece parts
for assembly by the customer, whereas Level 5 would be a fully integrated
enclosure system including backplanes, power supplies, thermal-management
equipment, active boards and software - all assembled, wired, tested and
shipped to any destination the customer chooses.

At the pre-prototype stage, Schroff design engineers use 3D CAD modelling
and thermal simulation software to evaluate design options with the
customer. A prototype is then produced to enable detailed assessment of the
system and the initiation of any test and/or certification programmes.

As well as being able to draw on Schroff's long experience in the design and
manufacture of electronics enclosures, users of the service have access to
the company's expertise in EMC testing to ensure that systems comply with
relevant standards.

Manufacture, assembly and all other procedures are carried out in line with
Schroff's ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 quality systems, and all integration
projects are managed by experienced project engineers.

Completing the service, Schroff can also manage the supply chain, production
scheduling and logistics, delivering to the customer or direct to the end
user, including national and international hubbing and distribution support.
