Surtech Distribution, the Andover-based specialist distributor of enclosures, previously a major direct APW distributor, has announced that following the failure of APW, ongoing supply agreements have been agreed with the four separate companies who have purchased the IPR for the major APW product lines.
Mike Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director, said, We have concluded supply agreements with two European companies, who now own the KM6 subrack and the IMRAK floor-standing rack families respectively. In the UK, we have reached agreement with a new company formed by two ex-APW executives to manufacture the Diplomat cases, LBX, fan trays and other metal desktop enclosures, and we have finalised arrangements with an existing supplier of ours who has acquired the complete plastic enclosure range including Veronex, IDAS, Apollo, General Purpose Box, Patina and many others.

We hold substantial stocks of all products and we are already starting to receive deliveries of new stock from our new supply partners. Our wide customer base can be guaranteed that our ex-stock standard product deliveries and short lead time project-specific configuration services will continue.
