Saelig Company, Inc. announces significant upgrades to the Ramsey RF Test Enclosures lineup, catering to forensic analysis, benchtop, and rack-mount EMI-quiet enclosure needs.

These enhancements include the integration of a 3/4-inch RF-absorbent foam liner and the addition of dual honeycomb vents measuring either 60 or 120mm in most models, addressing the critical issue of test space overheating. The STE3000-series now features 12 standard forensic models, streamlining the selection process for configurations that include filtered Ethernet and various USB ports (USB2/USB3/USBC). This expansion is particularly beneficial for forensic operators utilising Graykey for Apple device passcode decryption. Beyond the standardised options, Ramsey Faraday boxes offer customisation to meet unique client specifications, including filtered AC power connections and filtered signal I/O pass-throughs for any common connector type.

Ramsey enclosures serve a broad range of applications, from emissions or pre-compliance testing to forensic examinations of electronic devices, alongside educational R&D and training. They are essential in law enforcement, defence, and security fields that demand signal-free environments. The forensic boxes are distinguishable by their viewing window and RF-shielded gloves, enabling hands-on device manipulation. Utilised globally in police and crime laboratories, these patented forensic RF-free housings offer a highly isolated bench-top setting for detailed forensic investigations of electronic gadgets, complete with audio/video timestamped recordings.

The challenges of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) are crucial hurdles for the market release of virtually all electronic products. Compliance with global EMC standards, which regulate emission levels, is mandatory, necessitating thorough compliance testing at certified EMC testing facilities. To pre-empt potential test failures, many design teams are now establishing in-house labs equipped with benchtop EMI-quiet environments for EMI troubleshooting and pre-compliance assessments.

Manufactured in the USA by Ramsey Electronics, the provider of durable EMI-RFI shielded benchtop enclosures for both testing and forensic applications, Ramsey Boxes are readily available through their authorised North American distributor, Saelig Company, Inc., located in Fairport, NY.
