Rittal adds to its MicroTCA family
Rittal has expanded its MicroTCA product range with the addition of an MTCA Cube. The Cube offers a simple, efficient architecture capable of handling up to 6 AMCs and an MCH (MicroTCA Carrier Hub), plus the resources required to power, cool and support them.
The stainless steel compact, stand-alone cube measures only 307 x 118 x 285mm and offers many advantages over larger shelf level MicroTCA architectures or Advanced TCA shelves for low-end applications. These advantages include the cube’s inherent efficiencies and the fact that is optimally sized making it particularly suitable for smaller systems such as those found on machinery and in control gear. The Cube also provides accommodation in a more rugged way than existing telecom-based Micro-TCA structures.
Conforming to specification MicroTCA.0R1.0, the Rittal MTCA Cube is supplied complete with backplane and 250W AC/DC power pack. A range of accessories enables mounting onto DIN rails, walls, mounting plates or even directly onto a machine or industrial control system.
Rittal’s MTCA Cube permits the creation of systems that are physically small while still preserving full compatibility with the AdvancedMC specification.
