New accessories available for system chassis family

A low-cost, efficient clip solution now exists for mounting cover plates on the subracks. The high-quality stainless steel clip is fixed onto the subrack side panel using just one single screw, thus simplifying cover plate fixing. However, it remains just as flexible in its use as the rest of the product range: Available in seven different designs and lengths of 30-240mm, it enables fitting across the entire subrack range in just a few steps and is compatible with the cover plate designs 1 to 4 of the HEITEC HeiPac Vario subrack family and with the ECO and EASY designs. EMC applications are also supported if the assembly clips are fitted across the entire depth of the subrack. The assembly clip has been additionally tested for use in mobile applications in accordance with the standard EN 50155 and passed this test with flying colours.

The new rear covering hood for the HeiPac Vario 19“ subrack family acts as a protection for the wiring compartment of a subrack. The inexpensive and easy-to-fit covering is made of high-quality aluminium and is chromated without colour. The depth of the side panel is defined by the length of the plug-in units used plus 85mm. In the standard version its width is 84 HP, its height may be 3 or 6 U or also customised, making it suitable for the complete HeiPac Vario family – including EMC applications. The only pre-condition for its fitting is the use of a horizontal rail, suitable for top mounting, which HEITEC also offers.

The extensive range of accessories, including cover and base plates, front and rear panels and flanges, gives scope for maximum flexibility. As many of the elements are based within this modular system on the same horizontal rails and system components and may thus be used by all HeiPac series, the cost benefits become fully effective and the development time is reduced to a minimum.
