Die-Cast Enclosure Family Extended
Hammond Electronics' Eddystone thin wall range of die-cast aluminium enclosures has been extended with the addition of three sizes and a further two reduced height variants of existing plan sizes. The Eddystone range, which is said to provide excellent EMC performance and good mechanical protection for the housed components, now extends to 24 different models ranging in size from 50 x 50 x 25mm to 188 x120 x 82mm.
For Eddystone is one of the best-known brands of die-cast enclosures on the market. Hammond acquired the range from GEC Marconi in 1998, and it continues to be manufactured in the UK. Since the acquisition there has been significant investment in the range, with the majority of the tooling replaced and new sizes of enclosure introduced into the family in response to customer demand.
