Rittal have a range of cooling units specifically designed for outdoor enclosure applications. If you want your electronic equipment to remain useful for longer when situated outdoors, then give it some air! Any outdoor enclosure will suffer from solar gain on long and hot summer days and as a result the internal temperature will rise above the ambient.

DEK gave centre stage to its revolutionary new closed loop innovation, ProDEK, at SMT Hybrid Packaging 2012 in Nuremberg earlier this month. Showcased for the first time in Europe at the show, ProDEK introduces a greater degree of dynamic print process control, enabling real-time continuous alignment adjustments and cleaning frequency adaptation that dramatically enhance throughput, improve yield and limit operator intervention.

FDB pulled all project strings together to successfully deal with a Middle East based enquiry from a client requiring locks for 18,000 galvanised steel boxes designed to house water meters. The specification called for a securing of the enclosure door with a plastic clip-in, quarter-turn latch – simple to fit and, bearing in mind the quantity, relatively low in cost.

TEKO have extended the TEKAL series of extruded aluminium enclosures with a range of new models which can be easily mounted to a wall, control panel, machine housing or bulkhead. The new TEKAL-E wall mount enclosures feature special end panels with integrated mounting flanges. These are designed to allow the unit to be mounted without the need to open the enclosure or disturb the electronics.

Bud Industries has released a new NEMA box with a 3R rating and a variety of value-added features. This steel enclosure costs up to 25% less than competing products and includes an internal zinc-plated steel panel that most manufacturers offer as an accessory item.

The new Type 1414 camlock from FDB Panel Fittings has been designed especially to be capable of withstanding exposure in the harshest environments for use in any environment that may be exposed to the elements; specifically roadside cabinets, communications pods, cable pillars and commercial vehicle security.

ABB Semiconductors in Lenzburg, Switzerland, long searched in vain for a suitable production storage system for HiPak IGBT modules production. Project Manager Prabath Lewdeni found the SMD Tower by chance. Its supplier Essemtec re-engineered the SMD component storage system into clean room storage for ABB.

OKW has added new models and a station to the ’CARRYTEC’ range of portable plastic enclosures. The new larger ‘Size M’ models offer more internal space for the electronics, and the station is specially designed for charging and data transfer when the equipment is not being carried.
