Highly expandable I/O connectivity

The AIMB-585 is equipped with multiple high speed I/O and reliable connectivity including: twelve USB 3.0, four USB 2.0, four SATAIII, one PCIe x16 or two PCIe x8, one PCIe x4, one PCIe x1, one MiniPCIe (F/S x 1) and support for mSATA. It also supports 16-bit digital programmable I/O, six COM ports (one RS-232/422/485 configurable) and 6W audio amplifier (2-channel). The AIMB-585 also comes with dual GbE ports (Intel I219LM + I211AT) delivering up to 1,000Mb/s of bandwidth for network-intensive applications. All this high speed connectivity is packed into a Micro-ATX form factor which makes the motherboard suitable for high-end applications.

Enhanced reliability & compatible design

The AIMB-585 has a maximum of four PCI express expansion slots, and one of compelling feature is its PCIe x16 auto-split design. The bandwidth of the PCIex16 slot can be split into two PCIe x8 bandwidth automatically, if a PCIe x8 external card is installed in the x8 slot (if the customer only installs one x16 card in the x16 slot, it will offer x16 bandwidth accordingly). This empowering design provides more flexibility for different applications. The Micro-ATX motherboard uses one external USB controller for two independent USB 3.0 ports onboard, so the AIMB-585 can help customers separate USB ports for administrator and non-administrator use to ensure USB devices will not be crashed by other devices.

Excellent graphics performance and strict ESD protection & certification

With advanced HD graphics performance, the Micro-ATX motherboard integrates Intel HD Graphics with DX11.1, OpenCL1.2 and OpenGL4.0 to deliver enhanced graphics performance. The AIMB-585 supports three independent displays, either in clone mode or extended mode using VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort1.2, eDP and DVI-D with high 4K2K resolution for HDMI, Displayport1.2 and eDP ports. With stunning graphics and image display, the AIMB-585 is suited for gaming and medical applications. In addition, the AIMB-585 uses an enhanced ESD protection design that passes ESD level 4 (contact 8kv and air 15kv) testing. For high end applications, for example for medical, ESD level protection is an important system feature in sensitive environments.

The AIMB-585 comes bundled with Advantech WISE-PaaS/RMM which provides remote device management and system recovery powered by Acronis and system protection powered by McAfee; allowing users to easily monitor, configure, control and even recover multiple systems through a single console from any remote site.
