Inelco Hunter announces new accessories for i.MX8Mmini systems
Inelco Hunter has introduced two new accessory modules designed to expand the capabilities of systems based on the i.MX8Mmini MPU. These additions offer enhanced flexibility and performance, supporting a wide range of industrial IoT and embedded applications. The accessories are tailored for use with the VisionSOM-8Mmini boards, providing customers with cost-effective solutions for embedded computing and machine vision tasks.
The first accessory, the OV5640 camera module, features a 5MP resolution and an MIPI-CSI interface. It includes an integrated PMIC and an OV5640 CMOS colour video sensor, making it suitable for high-quality image capture. Additionally, the module is equipped with a fish-eye lens, offering a wide-angle field of view, which is beneficial for applications requiring enhanced spatial awareness. Fully compatible with all SoMLabs carrier boards that include an MIPI-CSI interface, this module is particularly useful for robotics, factory automation, and machine vision applications. It enables real-time image processing and analysis, which are essential for modern industrial systems.
The second accessory, the SL-ADP-PCIe-M2 SSD adapter, facilitates high-speed storage expansion. It supports M.2 SSDs in 2242, 2260, and 2280 sizes, using a single-lane PCIe interface. This allows users to enhance their embedded systems with additional storage, making the adapter a valuable addition for applications requiring high-performance data handling, such as edge computing, AI-driven analytics, and industrial automation. The inclusion of PCIe connectivity ensures minimal latency and high-speed data transfer, addressing the needs of applications that demand reliable and efficient storage solutions.
Both accessories are designed to complement the VisionSOM-8Mmini boards, which integrate an NXP ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core processor running at up to 1.8GHz, along with an ARM Cortex-M4F core for real-time processing. The system supports up to 4GB of LPDDR4 memory and 32GB of eMMC/uSD storage, with a built-in VPU for HD video processing. Additional features include a MIPI-DSI interface (FullHD, four-lane), PCIe 2.0 connectivity, and 1Gbit Ethernet, making it an ideal platform for industrial TFT displays, IoT solutions, and advanced embedded applications.
These new accessories provide users with expanded capabilities, ensuring that Inelco Hunter’s embedded systems continue to meet the evolving demands of industrial applications.
