Avalue Technology has introduced a 5.25" SBCs - EBM-BSW, a Qseven Solution - EQM-BSW, and a COMe Solution - ESM-BSW, based on Intel's Braswell - M/D processor family. The Intel Pentium/Celeron processor N3000 family are based on Intel’s 14nm architecture for entry systems, which doubles graphics performance and offers a 16% battery life improvement, better I/O support, and better performance at low thermals.

EBM-BSW 5.25" SBC supports one 204-pin DDR3L 1600 MTs SODIMM system memory with up to 8GB capacity. EBM-BSW offers a multiplicity of I/O involving three RS-232, two RS-232/ 422/ 485, one SATA III, two Mini PCIe (one supporting mSATA and one SIM card supports USB 2.0 interface), four USB 3.0, three USB 2.0 and a 16-bit GPIO.

EBM-BSW has dual Gigabit Ethernet: two RealTek RTL8119 and dual displays with resolutions of HDMI mode: 1920x1080 at 60Hz and LVDS mode: 1920x1080 at 60Hz. Audio interface is provided with a Realtek ALC233 HD codec. EBM-BSW supports a 12-26V power range.

EQM-BSW Qseven Solution is powered by Intel dual or quad-core Pentium/Celeron processor N3000 family and supports onboard DDR3L 1600 SODIMM system memory with up to 8GB capacity. EQM-BSW offers I/O including two SATA ports to baseboard, five USB 2.0, a USB 3.0 to baseboard, three PCIex1, onboard eMMC up to 64GB, one LPC, one SMBux, one I²C, UART, one CAN Bus and a Qseven spec 2.0connector for expansions. One RealTek RTL8119 and dual displays with resolutions of HDMI mode: 1920x1080 at 60Hz and LVDS mode: 1920x1080 at 60Hz. Audio interface is provided with an integrated Intel Pentium/Celeron SoC.

ESM-BSWCOMe Solution is powered by Intel dual or quad-core Pentium/Celeron processor N3000 family and supports one 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM system memory with up to 8GB DDR3L 1333/1600 SDRAM capacity. For I/O ports, ESM-BSW offers eight USB 2.0, four USB 3.0, two SATA III, one UART, one 8bit GPIO, one SMBus, one LPC, one I²C and three PCIex1. One RealTek RTL8119 and Triple displays with resolutions of VGA mode: 1920x1080 at 60Hz, LVDS mode: 1920x1080 at 60Hz and DP mode: 2560x1600 at 60Hz. Audio interface is provided with an integrated Intel Pentium/Celeron SoC. ESM-BSW supports a 9-19V power range.

Avalue’s Braswell platform board brings enhanced improvement in graphics throughput, display resolutions 4K2K (3840x2160), additional media codecs, and improved media acceleration. Also optimised architecture reduces platform BOM cost with fewer voltage rails, less routing, and fewer power management complexities compared to the previous generation. The Intel Pentium/Celeron processor N3000 family products are designed for intelligent systems and IoT applications, such as retail systems, thin clients, printers, embedded PCs and medical systems.
