congatec has announced the expansion of its industrial-grade Mini-ITX motherboard portfolio with two highly efficient low-power conga-IGX variants that are based on the Gen 2 AMD Embedded G-Series SoC processor (codenamed "Steppe Eagle") and feature powerful SoC integrated AMD Radeon graphics. The low-power motherboards are scalable with a TDP ranging between 5 and 15W max.

Sundance has taken full advantage of the current generation of Xilinx Zynq SoCs, integrating dual-core ARM A9 CPUs, four lanes of PCI-Express and reprogrammable logic with Artix-7 FPGA technology, and incorporated it into the latest PC/104 form-factor, called OneBank. EMC2-Z7015 is a stackable SBC compatible with PCIe/104 OneBank PCI-Express interface and VITA57.1 FMC, controlled by a Xilinx Zynq SoC FPGA.

The ADZS-SC58x evaluation systems help designers develop and test the ADSP-SC584 and ADSP-SC589 SHARC processors. A new low power, fanless COM Express Mini Module SOM-7568 from Advantech is equipped with the latest Intel Pentium N3700, Celeron N3150 and Celeron N3000 single-chip processors manufactured on Intel’s 14-nm process technology. The mini module is ideal for lower power handheld applications. It is available at distributor Rutronik as of now.

The Curiosity Development Board from Microchip Technology is now available from Mouser Electronics. The board is a fully integrated 8-bit development platform for first-time users, designers, and those requiring a feature-rich rapid prototyping board. The board includes an integrated programmer/debugger and requires no additional hardware to get started.

ADL Embedded Solutions has announced the design-in success of the “Ramet” project (use of PCIe/104 in harsh environments). Ramet opts for ADL’s PCIe/104 ADLE3800PC-E3845 SBC for the control and evaluation of its speed monitoring systems of the RAMER 10 family, which consists of compact modular radar cameras featuring Doppler radar with 34.0, 34.3 or 24.125GHz.

The new Arduino Yun Mini extends the Arduino portfolio of open-source electronics development and prototyping boards of RS Components (RS). Aimed at embedded engineers, hackers and students, the Arduino Yun Mini is a redesign of the Arduino Yun WiFi microcontroller board and has been re-engineered to be used with a breadboard, making prototyping easier, and also provides its functionality in a light and highly compact package.

The STEVAL-ISA162V1 Evaluation Board from STMicroelectronics is now on sale at Mouser Electronics. This new evaluation board implements an isolated flyback (12V/0.84A) 10W wide-range mains developed for general-purpose applications. The core of the application is the VIPer25HD, an off-line, high-voltage converter from the ST’s VIPerPlus family.
