World Summit AI Americas has announced that the summit is moving online for 2020. A fully curated online agenda will be available on the original event dates to all of the summit’s sponsors and delegates, who will be able to view pre-recorded sessions on demand.

Simultaneously, networking, virtual meetings, and connections will also be taking place live on the AI-powered event app, meaning a rich virtual event experience will be available to all participants on desktop and mobile.

InspiredMinds Founder and CEO Sarah Porter said: “Our community has always been at the heart of everything we do. We build summits in line with the UN global goals, we create meaningful dialogue around global tech for good. Therefore, we feel it would be contradictory of us not to take action in light of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation.”

“After careful consultation with our sponsors, speakers, partners and delegates, and in the light of fast changing global travel advice, with the comfort and safety of our community at the heart of our decision, World Summit AI Americas will be taking place online. The AI brains will be broadcasting! We are a small and independent business so the impact of this decision has not been taken lightly but we are confident that it is the right thing, albeit not the easy thing to do.”

Access to all content from the online summit, including the networking app, will be available for 60 days.

InspiredMinds, the team behind World Summit AI are also working on innovative ways to support the 52,000 AI community and to find ways to mitigate the impact that the coronavirus outbreak may have on the AI industry.
