The next generation of automated driving technology at CES
The full-service autonomous driving technology provider, AImotive, will showcase its new next-generation products at CES 2019 in Las Vegas Nevada, January 8th to 12th. The newly announced modular self-driving software stack aiDrive will be demoed alongside aiSim2, the autonomous technology simulator running on AImotive’s purpose-built simulation engine.
The Budapest-based company will also demonstrate the capabilities of an aiWare silicon implementation on its stand at Tech East North Hall booth #7538.
The highway autopilot capabilities of aiDrive2 will be proven with the system running on Nvidia’s Drive PX2 embedded platform. AImotive aims to encourage wider collaboration in the autonomous industry by providing a modular and customisable platform for the development of automated driving systems. The maturity of the solution is illustrated by it running on the widely accepted automotive platform in preparation for aiDrive-powered autonomous driving solutions.
The recently announced aiSim2 simulator will also be on display at the booth. Emphasising the proprietary engine’s hardware utilisation capabilities, the simulator will be running on a single GPU and a multi-GPU setup side by side. Through the ability to ensure deterministic physically-based rendering on any hardware setup, aiSim2 can accelerate the development of autonomous technologies while overcoming the limitations of game engine-based simulators.
The aiWare test chip on display running AImotive’s own algorithms proves the capabilities of the hardware IP core when implemented on silicon. Created through a partnership between AImotive, VeriSilicon and Global Foundries the chip runs aiWare1. AImotive is currently offering the highly-scalable aiWare2 and aiWare3 architectures to customers looking to create smart sensors or centralised AI acceleration clusters for automotive use.
“The AImotive displays at CES 2019 all underscore our commitment to industry collaboration and illustrate the maturity of our products;” said Gergely Debreczeni, Chief Scientist. “Our ecosystem of technology is developed with one goal: to support our partners in bringing safe automated driving to their customers.”
Experts from AImotive will be on-hand to discuss its next-generation products in Tech East North Hall at booth #7538 throughout the duration of the show.
